I first purchased “slim” glass cases from two other Aussie brands. First was a Bon Maxie which is cheaper than F&L and I liked that it had a built-in wipe cloth. The second was an Alf the Label which is of similar price to F&L but I liked that it had a zipper so I could used it as a wallet and I can hook it anywhere. So I didn’t really “need” another case but I couldn’t resist getting this pretty lilac colour! I’m happy I did because I now fully appreciate how small it is. While I think the other two are somewhat comparable in achieving a slim profile, the F&L case is much shorter which counts a lot when using a small bag! In some of my bags, it fits standing up which gives me even more room. Now for the CONS - I saw a previous review said that the magnet does not have the same satisfying clack as the older colours which didn’t stop me from buying my favourite lilac colour but I totally agree. It doesn’t close with a clack and I was worried the glass would fall out but it really doesn’t. It still does stay shut. I wish it did close more securely or at least give that feeling of being more secure for peace of mind. The other thing that worried others were that the arms were unprotected so would get tangled when pulling the case out of your bag. I agree as they do get tangled so you really need to be mindful when pulling the case out and it helps when the case is facing the wall of the bag away from other loose items. However this doesn’t outweigh the space it saves me in my smaller bags. Overall, I’m happy I purchased this and would recommend getting one. I will still use my other cases but I find I grab my F&L more because it’s perfect when using a small bag.
